Maven WebSITE REDESIGN
OVERVIEW
THE ASK
DeRose & Appelbaum (a commercial real estate company in San Francisco) was going to transition into Maven so I was in charge of the rebranding efforts.
OVERVIEW
The logo was designed by an outside team, but I worked with colleagues to decide on a color scheme, and I created all of the wireframes, and prototypes. The website itself was brought to life by our web developer.
THE FOCUS
It was a challenge because there were many different opinions but I was able to create something that the team liked. Maven is a pretty young company and we went with a professional yet clean look, with a focus on bold imagery. The old website didn’t have strong navigation and searching for properties (for sale and for lease) needed to be improved. Since the rebrand, Maven has grown as a company and the website has gotten more hits, which lead to more leases being signed and properties sold.
STRATEGY
Started by interviewing internal stakeholders (owners and employees), and conducted competitive research. Did a few rounds of testing with prototypes with internal stakeholders until it was ready to be published.
WHAT I LEARNED
Doing a website redesign isn’t easy, but by talking to stakeholders, I was able to design an experience that would be suitable the target audience.
